Music City

Music City (Nashville) looks to have it all. There is live music virtually every hour of the day, fun places to hang out and relax, and a rich history that dates back to the United States' inception. Don't overlook the cuisine. There is a plethora of delectable meals to select from. We've spent a lot of time visiting Nashville, Tennessee, and learning about all of the best things to do there.
Try some spicy chicken.

Try the spicy chicken in Nashville. The tasty beef is marinated in a water-based spice mixture before flouring and frying. The last two steps make it unique. Before serving, a cayenne pepper sauce is poured over the hot chicken, which is then sandwiched between white bread and pickle chips. Depending on your taste, the sauce can be mild to sweet-and-spicy. With black-eyed peas or pimento mac-and-cheese and Nashville's famed hot chicken is first tasted at Prince's Hot Chicken. They've been doing it for over 70 years. Bolton's is also highly praised. My selection is Hattie B's, a new neighborhood favorite. Steamed chicken and waffles with strawberry compote on Sundays

Robert's Western World is a must-see.

Locals exclusively go to Robert's Western World on Broadway, a resident told us on our first night. Unable to verify, we changed our plans and traveled to the place designated with a boot and a guitar. In a honky Tonk, there's no cover fee, so you can pull up a stool, order the house special, fried bologna sandwich, and tip whatever you like. Live bands play practically all day, entertaining visitors who two-step right in front of them. Traditional country music provides a laid-back but pleasurable setting for having fun without feeling like you're at a rock event. Robert's Western World is one of our favorite Nashville activities since it is unique.

At Loveless Cafe, try the biscuits.

Loveless Cafe in southwest Nashville serves Southern food. It's famed for its all-day breakfast, country ham, and red-eye gravy. The Loveless Cafe's biscuits, on the other hand, are queued for virtually every day. Almost everything on the menu is served with the flaky pillows of love, complemented with homemade jams. They're delicious and rival any Southern grandmother's cooking. The biscuits are worth the 25-minute journey because they are baked fresh daily.

Take a bite out of a Goo Goo Cluster.

A Goo Goo Cluster is a candy bar made of peanuts, caramel, marshmallow, and milk chocolate. This famous confectionery, founded in 1912, currently has its own facility in downtown. The Goo Goo Shop offers a variety of clusters and a dessert bar with fudge, ice cream, and other delights. Prepared with vanilla ice cream and chopped peanut butter Goopy Clusters. It was wonderful. Consider taking one of their Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays chocolate-making classes to learn more about chocolate.

At a rooftop bar, take in the view.

Nashville has many rooftop bars with great views and atmosphere. They have everything from pool decks and live music to swing seats and private cabanas. We like the Lookout at Ole Red on Broadway since it's a little more polished and gives a great view of the action. Up is a rooftop lounge in The Gulch, where you may relax on couches or around fire pits. The Bobby Hotel in the Arts District has a high-end rooftop club. Sit in the bar or on the bus. You might even spend the winter in one of their igloos or cedar cabins.

At a local distillery, try several spirits.

We always look for distilleries when we go. It's in Lynchburg, just 90 minutes from Nashville, that Jack Daniel's is made. On a tour of the Jack Daniel's distillery, you'll see the painstaking attention to detail that goes into this world-fam. Excursion is highly recommended, Jack drinker or not. The tasting trip is a necessity for Jack drinkers. It's one of Tennessee's best activities!
