 Children's Bike?  Preferably Before Easter

When in the year are actually good times to buy a children's balance bike?

We're heading for winter. Due to the weather, the acute interest in buying bikes and children's bikes are currently decreasing.

The Kinderfeets has only been online for a few months and of course, regularly checks the number of visitors. Fortunately, they don't go down, they go up. Slowly, but continuously.

Balance bikes allow active kids to have the look of a two-wheeled bike without pedaling. Children move the bike by pushing with their feet. The benefit is increased balance, greater strength, and coordination skills. An adjustable seat post and hard rubber tires allow the child to get as much out of the bike as possible. A balance bike can be a wooden balance bike or it can be a steel, plastic, or aluminum bike. For a wooden balance bike, you can check Kinderfeets Canada or balance bike Canada.

But how much is this interest actually decreasing? And from when in the year does it increase and how much?

One answer to this question should also be when determining good times. Hardly buying a children's bike.

Fortunately, with Trends, Google offers a tool to get pretty precise information about this. Here, Google offers anyone interested access to historical data from the search engine. Among other things, it provides answers to the question: When was where, and how often was searched for?

What could be more obvious than looking at the search traffic for the term "children's bike" over the year? The result can be seen in the following diagram. It shows the distribution of search queries to Google with the term "children's bike":

Not Christmas, but Easter is the high season in the (children's) bike industry!

What this means for the best time to buy children's bikes should be as good as clear:

The right time is of course always first and foremost exactly when the old children's bike has become too small. Bad luck if that should be the case exactly at Easter;)

it would be really smart to take care of the new bike for the child in January (or earlier): the stores are full, the model and color of your choice are still available. Maybe there is still one or the other cheap remaining stock.

And advice and service in the store or at the online retailer should often be more detailed and better. Because as the curve looks, spring is obviously lucrative in the industry. But also pure stress.

And even if it is a used children's bike: the price is known to be based on demand. (Which, conversely, of course, means that you probably better wait until spring to sell the old bike if you want to get the best possible price)

So it should now be clear: When buying a children's bike, it's best to use autumn and the end of the year for research (with the help of the bike finder, of course ;-)). And then buy it right at the beginning of January. Or just for Christmas, when it really needs to be a present for a holiday.
